"Amazing show!" - MH
"Stray Cat Theatre is the cats meow in this thought-provoking play. There were a few moments where I lost myself an old conversations and debates and about 3/4 of the way through. I squinted and pinched myself and said oh that’s the actor who played Roy Cohn with Actors Theatre of Phoenix, version of Angels in America about 20 years ago. Joe Gentry. Amazing in this production also...you owe it to yourself to see this one. This one is almost over. Don’t miss out." - BM
"You have a couple more chances to see this extraordinary piece of work. Do yourself a huge favor go see this show. We laughed so much-it was crazy funny and witty." - SL
"(The Zoom) scene ranks in my top 5 theatre experiences ever. The script, the acting, the audience reactions were amazing and unpredictable while also being SO RELATABLE. Seriously I called my mom before I even left to tell her she needs to see this play." - EB
"(We) saw Eureka Day last night with Stray Cat Theatre and we had the best time. We went from vibing with the Kidz Bop to laughing until it hurt to being emotionally destroyed and then back to laughing again. The script itself is so good that you could listen to literally anyone read it and you will be blown away but they didn't get literally anyone to read it! They got a team of incredible actors that carried it so beautifully and with such skill. You only have a few more chances to check it out and I really think you should." - MN
"First rate - don't miss!" - ML
"What a great night of theater!! "Eureka Day” at Stray Cat Theatre was fantastic!! So true to life and hilarious! If you’ve ever served on a board or if you lived through school closures, you will laugh and be triggered at the same time! The zoom meeting chat and the ending!! OMG! And Tempe Center for the Arts is such a beautiful venue!" - KM
"Awesome performance - thought provoking and resonates at many levels.!!!" - AG
"I had a wonderful evening at the theatre. What a great show! Dont miss it!" - GE
"Don’t walk, run!...If you like your laughter with a side of vital and timely food for thought, this one will leave your sides sore and your wheels turning." - MS
"Great show. Hilarious. Loved this production tonight. Have not laughed that hard in a while." - RPH
"Well they keep on keepin' on. Meeeeeeeeoww!! EUREKA DAY by Jonathan Spector. Every show and into 100+ performances now, Stray Cat continues to bring original, thought provoking, great scripts and shows with wide and continuous selection of many local actors in the Valley, set design, direction, costumes, props in such a way you forget you are at TCA and not really with the Eureka Day Board trying to be heard and speak your mind. You are there! As Stray Cat does with every show or genre. Eureka Day actors, direction, set design, media enhancement, and natural embodiment of the script and its thought provoking, argumentative exacerbation of society ills, miscommunication, and demonstrative showing of different thought and views does not disappoint. Congrats Louis Farber, Jon Gentry, Felicia Penza, Tony Latham, Willa Eigo. Bonnie Beus Romney, all the tech!, set!, media design!, and Stray Cat in your Silver Go-Get-em-ness in another fine production toward 200 shows. See it before it leaves this weekend." - DL
"Felicia (Penza as Carina) was absolutely STELLAR, and her performance was amazing...For those unfamiliar, Eureka Day is a hilarious and thought-provoking comedy about a progressive school community navigating a mumps outbreak, vaccination debates, and the chaos that unfolds when parents and administrators try to agree on what’s best for everyone. Come support the arts, enjoy a fantastic production, and witness some incredible talent!" - KH
"Stray Cat Theatre picked another brilliant script and casting some of the Valley’s finest never hurts a production! No spoilers but Bonnie Romney - love how you leaned in and made us feel all sides of the thing, Felicia Penza you can make a pause and a look the best dialogue on the stage (and that’s saying a lot when you have words this good!), Jon Gentry somehow you managed to be even more interesting than your sweater and red pants, Willa Eigo Talley you were almost too convincing! I don’t know Tony but he was also fantastic." - BJF

Support local. Support discussion. AND LAUGH YOUR ASS OFF! We went in to this “blind” and came out wanting to see it again and again. In today’s “climate,” this show touches on so many philosophical ideas that should be discussed….openly. In some ways, discourse and discord help us be who we are but also more assured in what we do and do not believe it. What we should and should not believe in.
AND THAT ONE SCENE….Will have you in stitches. I can’t remember the last time I laughed that hard while saying… OMG. This isn’t fiction it’s fact." - JDK
"Well done Louis and cast. It was so well done and thought provoking, touching and funny. We are still talking about this Morning." - KK
"Great cast great directing great choice of show!...(We) left saying “isn’t it amazing when you can spend two hours in the theater and leave feeling challenged and thoughtful, and inspired?“ - JW
"I've been anticipating Stray Cat Theatre 's production of "Eureka Day" and opening night did not disappoint. Get your tix for this consistently funny take on a divisive topic. This ensemble has great chemistry!" - VR
"Caught the opening show of Eureka Day with Stray Cat Theatre. This play won the Tony for best play in 2025. It’s such an easy watch. It’s funny and the acting performances are insane...I can’t recommend it enough." - BF
"Opening Night of "Eureka Day" ~ Silver Anniversary Season and 100th Opening Night! Directed by ever talented Louis Farber. Casting proved to be a winning team of creative artists! Always enjoy captivating Jon Gentry; delightful Felicia Penza; Bonnie Beus Romney never disappoints!" - LP
"Well they did it again. Pulled out all the stops with another timely script, skilled direction, rich tech and creative elements, with show-stopping performances all around. I am so proud to be in the same community as Stray Cat Theatre, and to be there last night, the 100th Opening Night!! They never hold back on the punches, and they enrich our cultural offerings. One of our only true Off-Broadway, Fringe theatre providers. And what a cast! Two of my favorite, multi-hyphenated actresses filling out the ensemble, what can’t Willa Eigo Talley and Felicia Penza Do!? Tony Latham coming in hot as always with his distinct brand of naturalistic, quirky delivery that always catches me by surprise. Jon Gentry, probably the closet thing I have to a local idol. I’ve learned so much watching this man on stage for many decades. He could read the phone book and I’d be enthralled...And the cherry on top, the outstanding Bonnie Beus Romney delivering my favorite role of hers to date, and that’s saying a lot. She EATS THIS ROLE UP! Her Face! Her silence, her affected character voice and delivery. Thank you all for another stellar night of theatre. Do not miss this. And congrats to Ron May, Louis Farber, and the Stray Cat Family and your first 100 shows!!" - ST
