REVIEW HIGHLIGHTS

Comedies don’t come much darker than “Hand to God,”... Directed by Stray Cat founder Ron May, the show is both laugh-out-loud funny and deeply disturbing. It also features a cast that’s five-for-five in delivering stellar performances. Bottom line: With occasional shocking violence (not to mention the simulated puppet sex), “Hand to God” deftly crisscross(es) the line between comedy and drama and serves up both satisfying surprises and a bracing dose of philosophical wisdom.
