Marcos is a double graduate of Arizona State University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Theatre. At ASU, he appeared in several shows including: Balm in Gilead (Carlo), Mother Hicks (Jake), and played a very ugly transvestite in a very ugly production of Measure for Measure. Also at ASU, he directed and wrote 10-minute plays for two From Scratch festivals, and held a stage reading of his one-act play, Chromosomes.
Credits at Stray Cat include: Poona the Fuckdog...and Other Plays For Children (Cunt/Angel Mike/Kid/TiVo/Sparkle), Nicky Goes Goth (Aaron), as well as stage managing bash: latterday plays, The Dianalogues, Patty Red Pants, Hysteric Studs and Kimberly Akimbo. He has designed props or costumes for Falling Petals, Fat Pig, Everything Will Be Different: A Brief History of Helen of Troy, A Very Merry Unauthorized Children’s Scientology Pageant, An Impending Rupture of the Belly, columbinus, Blackbird and Speech and Debate. Marcos also directed Stop Kiss by Diana Son and Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead by Bert V. Royal.
Outside of Stray Cat, Marcos has directed Critic’s Choice for Is What It Is Theatre, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown for Tempe Little Theatre, Zanna, Don’t! for Desert Stages Theatre, assistant directed Why We Have A Body for ASU’s Student Production Board and Arsenic and Old Lace for Desert Stages Theatre.
Marcos punches the time clock at Desert Botanical Garden as the Assistant Director of Development. He has served as the Alumni Advisor to his fraternity – Tau Psi Omega Fraternity, Inc. at ASU, on the board of the Central Arizona Museum Association, and continues on the Board of Stray Cat Theatre. He’s lucky to have shared all this craziness with his wife, Crystal, and kids, Anika and Noah.
