David J. Castellano

is ready to be back for another season with Stray Cat Theatre. He graduated from the University of Evansville with a B.F.A. in Theatre Design and Technology and Ohio University with a M.F.A. in Scenic and Costume Design. Since then, he helped the homeless on skid row, dressed The President of P.E.T.A. with real fur, flooded an apartment, can travel by sea turtle, wiped out a Texas family with a bounty hunter and established that dykes live in New York City in the name of art by having the pleasure to design for several companies including Richard Frankel Productions, Stella Adler Studio of Acting, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Phoenix Opera, Actors Theatre of Phoenix, and Nearly Naked Theatre. David just received his first AriZoni win for Stray Cat’s production of reasons to be pretty for scenic design. Some of his favorite projects include Little Shop of Horrors (Brdwy & Nat Tour), Twentieth Century (Brdwy), Marisol (City Attic Theatre-NYC), Octopus (SCT-AZ), Shipwrecked! An Entertainment (ATP-AZ), The Skriker (The lida Project-CO), Killer Joe (NNT-AZ) and The d Word (NYC). His other Arizona projects this season include Rigoletto for Phoenix Opera and Time Stands Still for Actors Theatre of Phoenix.
